HI, I’m Jane
An Ordinary Woman Navigating Extraordinary Health Hurdles.
Welcome to my corner of the web. If you’ve ever felt like your body was a “jigsaw puzzle”, with pieces that don’t quite fit, you’re in the right place.
I am not a doctor, a nurse, or a medical expert.
I’m just an ordinary woman who has spent years learning how to live well, not just exist – while managing a mosaic of health challenges.
My Journey (So Far)
Over the last few years, I’ve had to become my own best advocate. My path hasn’t been a straight line; it’s been a series of obstacles that I’ve learned to climb over:
Living with a Brain Shunt
Navigating the unique world of neurological health and the daily adjustments that come with it.
The “Foot Lab”
Recovering from Morton’s Neuroma (without surgery) and finding ways to stay mobile when every step used to be a struggle.
Carpal Tunnel Surgery & Recovery
Successfully managing the journey through bilateral Carpal Tunnel surgeries and reclaiming the use of my hands.
The Midlife Shift
Reclaiming my health through Peri-menopause, including achieving a significant weight loss goal that I once thought was impossible.
Why I Created This Site
I know how lonely it can feel when you’re staring at a new diagnosis or a changing body. I started this blog because I wanted to create the resource I wish I had: a place where real-life experience matters as much as clinical advice.
I’m here to share the practical tips, the emotional ups and downs, and the “wins” that come from simply refusing to give up. My goal is to help you feel a little less alone and a lot more empowered in your own health journey.
I’m glad you’re here. Let’s be resilient together!
